Hi everyone, today we're going to talk about numbers because one of my favorite subjects this semester was introduction to calculus. In this subject, the teachers uploaded the classes to "u-cursos", and one can see them at any time, one can even go back if one did not understand something, around 10 am on Monday, the seminars are held, with Professor Castro, classes where mainly context and complicated exercises are done.
Some of the contents we have seen in this subject are Limits, Trigonometry, Functions and Derivatives. These contents are difficult, because they mix many mathematical terms and explode your head (figuratively).
It is difficult to explain why I like this subject, maybe because I have always been good at mathematics and learning it is not difficult. It could even be because of the contents I have learned in this subject, which have high degrees of difficulty, but understanding them leaves them in their simplicity. It can also be because of how the teacher explains and chooses exercises with my career area.
Explaining why I like this subject is like counting the stars, there is no end to it.

An Expert on my field
I can't say that I admire anyone in my field of work, because I'm just a first-year university student and I don't know much about the professors and professionals in my career. But if I had to choose a professional, it would be Dante Miranda, a biochemist at the "Universidad de Chile".
Little can I say about his life, I know that he is a great professional, when he was a student, I know that they gave him a red, for giving the answers to the girl he liked (this story was told by him in a class), since he was young, he has been interested in biochemistry in the area of neuroscience. The main reason I chose to talk about Dante Miranda, is because I always liked the scientific area in which he works, which is neuroscience, a super fundamental and difficult area to work in, and I liked to learn from his work with NK cells (as soon as he told me something about his work with NK cells, I started reading about them and learned a lot from all his research).
Apart from the classes he gives me, I have had few spaces to share with him, but he has always been a good teacher and a good scientist.
You can see him in the attached picture, he is the man on the left side.

My Favorite Band
I don't really have a favorite band or artist, I like quite a few artists from different musical genres, but if I had to choose one among several, it would be "thousand foot krutch".
I know it's a Canadian band, which is formed by Steve Augustine, Trevor McNevan and Joel Bruyere, in the beginning one of its members was the drummer of "Three Days Grace", Neil Sanderson, who left them after a few years to return to his old band.
Some of their great albums are: "Oxygen : Inhale", "The End Is Where We Begin", "War of Change", etc.
This band mainly plays music of the rock genre and all its variations, such as Hard Rock, Metal Rock, Alternative Rock and even Rapcore.
I like this band mainly because of the messages they give in their songs, because beyond being a rock and metal band, their lyrics are very deep, these lyrics reflect a story told through strong and striking sounds.
One of the songs that show a deep story is "Be Somebody", being this one mainly my favorite, since it combines harmonically the music with the lyrics, in the lyrics it expresses how to face an existential crisis between the mind and the body when you don't know which way to go. in all this only questions the function of our subconscious in the union with that someone who knows who we are, and it accompanies it with a good musical tone. Some of my favorite songs are also: "The end is where we begin", "I born this way", "War of change", "Courtesy call", "Fly on the wall", "Phenomenom", "We are", "I see red", "Untraveled Road" and "Let's the spark fly"
If I hadn't chosen Thousand Foot Krutch, I would have probably talked about Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Morat, all these bands are of different musical genres but they maintain something that I love, the harmonization of music and lyrics. Red Hot Chilli Peppers with "Goodbye Angels", and Morat with "Amor con hielo".

My favorite picture
I have a lot of memories when I see this picture, this picture was taken by a classmate (Constanza) from high school. It was taken 3 years ago, when I had to perform a characterization of a famous scientist with 3 other classmates for the biology class, I like this picture because this picture shows me and my 3 classmates (Bastian, Kote and Kata), who were some of my best classmates in high school, also my biology teacher is in this picture, from whom I learned a lot about biology and laboratories, and thanks to her I learned to love science.
What I remember most about this day was that I had to present a characterization of Theodor Schwann, and I had to put on a fake beard, which caused me a lot of itching, and my classmates laughed at how I looked like someone else with glasses and a beard, since I have never grown a beard to go to high school and I didn't wear glasses either. And my teacher loved that we took the presentation so seriously, because that day we presented half of the PPT in German language, because these scientists were German. We learned this language from a German friend who was in Chile on an exchange program. I remember that I was day and night trying to learn the phrases of the presentation in German. but finally my presentation was a success and the teacher asked us to take that picture as a souvenir since it was one of our last classes with her that year. And this is the story about my favorite picture

The story of 2 kids
When I was 10 years old, I was a new student in Liceo San Francisco, I didn´t know anyone, so I sat next to a boy and this was the beginning of a beautyfull story.
that boy is my best friend, his name is Emilio Gomez, He is a gamer and Otaku, his favourite band is Twice, a kpop band. We met on my first day of school, I sat to his left, and We talked the whole class. And that was the beginning of our friendship. then I have had more friends but none like Emilio.
We´ve been friends for 8 years. We have been friends since 2012. I consider him my best friend because Emilio was a very nice person on my first day of class, He is always with me, through good times and bad times. he is a very nice person, sometimes He is a little bit of an idiot.
the best memory with my best friend happened when We were 16 years old, We traveled to Argentina for 2 weeks, and that was my best vacation. in this vacation everything happened. we went to Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Bariloche and Cordoba. In Buenos Aires We met the Kun Agüero, a soccer player.
We are best friends and We will always be.

My favorite piece of technology.
I feel so comfortable with technology, because I like all about technology, I love cellphones, computers, robots and machines. When I was a child, I was always reading about technology and I love it.
My favorite piece of technology is computers, I´ve had a computer since 2008. I use my computer for very different things such as, Iplaying videogames, doing homework, reading books in my computer and listening to music too.
I use my computer every day, particulary on these days. I like my computer because it´s an all in one, the computer has different uses, such as; social networks, office, books in pdf, videogames (especially my favorite games League of legends), and the computer is also comfortable to use.
My life without computer will be so boring and complicated, because I do everything in my computer, Without it, I will commite suicide (It´s a joke), especially with the online class.

The kid´s dreams
In the beginning of my childhood, I wanted to be to do very diferent jobs, such as Civil Engineering, a Teacher of Math, because I loved Maths, but I didn´t like the construction work and I hated teaching to children. Then I was 12 years old, I wanted to be a Doctor of Medicine, because I love biology, until now, but I wasn´t sure if this was my future.
When I was applying to university, I applied to Biochemistry and Chemistry. finally I decided for Biochemistry, because I want to discover the cure of the health issues (problems).
My experience of university until now, I feel uncomfortable with the online classes, because I think it´s not the same as having face-to-face classes. But I´ve felt so good about everything else.
I would like to work in Scientific laboratories around the world, I will be investigating about the health issues (problems).
